Hi, I am Steve. I grew up and currently live on Long Island. My general interests are science and manufacturing and my formal education is a B.S. in Mathematics from WPI, and M.S. in Technology Management from SUNY Farmingdale. I’m a visual thinker and enjoy writing computational geometry algorithms and developing tools for computer aided design. I have contributed to several open source projects such as RepRap and the Julia programming language. You can read about my projects here. My perennial research focus is developing the Descartes solid modeling engine and some of the infrastructure around it. I am currently interested in FPGAs, VLSI, and RISC-V applied to motor controls.
